The Challenges of Starting a New Business

Starting a startup is full of unknowns. Entrepreneurs have to deal with tough challenges like securing funding, building a strong team, developing a viable product or service, and conquering market competition. The absence of a roadmap can make these challenges seem really hard to overcome, causing many good ideas to fail at this important stage.

Recognising the unique struggles faced by early-stage startups, Basecamp support programme has been specifically designed to help innovators to overcome obstacles and bring the ideas to life. It is more than just another incubator or accelerator. It's a one-of-a-kind platform designed to boost startups to unimaginable heights. With the extensive network of mentors, investors, strategic partners, and years of gathered knowledge, startups can gain invaluable insights and resources to refine their product, scale their business, and secure funding.

At the start of October, we kicked off the Fall edition of Basecamp. In this article, we'd like to acquaint you with the startups and the exciting ideas they're bringing into the world.

Meet the Next Cohort of Changemakers

KIDZ RENDER CLOUD SOLUTIONS

This startup is determined to tackle the problems that designers and architects often encounter, like dealing with expensive and time-consuming rendering. They provide a rendering service that's based in the cloud, which makes rendering more affordable and easier to use. They decided to join Basecamp because they want to take their concept to the next level and create a Minimum Viable Product (MVP). Their goals include confirming that their business model works, testing the prototype, and gaining a better understanding of the Dutch market. The team’s UN SDG targets are:

  • SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure): They contribute to the advancement of technology and innovation in the design industry by offering a cloud-based rendering solution.
  • SDG 11 (Sustainable cities and communities): Cost-effective rendering solutions support urban planners, architects, and designers in creating sustainable and efficient urban environments.
  • SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production): They promote more responsible consumption and production practices within the design and architecture industry by reducing the need for expensive hardware and streamlining rendering processes.
  • SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals): They leverage their industry connections to provide services to design studios and other design stakeholders.
