In the current economy, we buy a product, upgrade them if possible, and dump them if they do not work anymore. This has a serious impact on the environment when you consider the fact that manufacturing a single mobile phone results in about 16 kilograms of greenhouse gas emissions.

Re-manufacturing and re-using electronics can significantly reduce the impact on the environment. Every time a refurbished phone is purchased, it results in a reduction of 19 kilograms in emissions as well as a reduction of around 12 kilograms in emissions for every year the phone is reused.
