Learning circle: how to find the right impact investor?

You are at a point in your startup journey, here you gained some traction and start looking for funding. But how to find the right investor that is as impact driven as you?

Impact Investment

You started your venture to make an impact. When you seek investment, you want an investor that understands this and is determined to invest his money where it can make maximum impact.

How and where do you find that kind of investor? How can you have a conversation about impact, instead of (only) about financial return on investment? How do you convince your investors that their money is actually making an impact? These are the kind of questions that we will help you to find the answers to in our first Learning Circle.

Live Talks

Michelle Chakkalackal will moderate a series of 4 Live Talks, where you will get inspired by impact investors and entrepreneurs who have walked the path before you. Each story will provide interesting insights into various aspects of impact investment.

March 2nd: Michelle will talk to Martijn Blom who, being an entrepreneur, angel investor, fund manager and involved in EVPA, can talk about impact investment both from the investor’s and the entrepreneur’s perspective.

March 9th: we will host Ynzo van Zanten and Pavithra Ram, both from Tony’s Chocolonely, on the topic of Impact Story.

• March 16: the third Live talk is about the Impact Roadmap, featuring entrepreneur James Mitchell of BuildX and Marije Schasvoort form Stichting Doen, who invested in David’s venture.

March 23: we conclude the series of Live Talks in March with Kamael Sugrim, co-founder of People First RH, serial entrepreneur, former global MD of ImpactHub and another impact investor. The topic of this session will be (how to create) the Impact Investor Hit List.

All the Live talks will be from 12:00 - 13:30 CET. They are accessible for everyone, free of cost, but please register here.
